Why Image Consent Matters at Licensed Daycare

Children at licensed daycare cannot consent for themselves to having their images captured or shared. Their parents or guardians hold this right on their behalf. Quality licensed daycares treat this right seriously because:

• Images of children shared publicly create a permanent digital record they cannot control as adults

At enrollment, all families complete a photo consent form that covers:

You can consent to some categories but not others — for example, consenting to internal documentation and newsletter but not social media or public website use. Your consent is specific, not blanket.

Withdrawing or Updating Consent

Photo consent is not a one-time permanent decision. At Daisy Days Daycare, you can:

• Withdraw previously given consent at any time by informing the director in writing
• Change the categories of consent (e.g., removing social media consent you previously gave)
• Request that any images posted on social media or the website be removed

Daisy Days Daycare will remove any publicly posted images of your child promptly upon your written request.

When Families Don’t Consent to Photography

If you do not consent to any photography, Daisy Days Daycare educators will ensure your child is not photographed for any purpose. In group activity situations where other children are photographed, educators take care to ensure unconsenting children are not identifiable in those images.

• Parents may photograph their own child during tours, special events, or pickup
